Meteksan Defence Unveils New Ground-Based Anti-Guided Missile System

Turkey’s Meteksan Defence Industry said it has developed a new ground-based laser system designed to disable electro-optical and infrared-guided missiles. The NAZAR system relies on soft-kill capabilities to neutralize targets from long distances and to perform reconnaissance and surveillance. The system can be packed up into a mobile platform and can power itself using a built-in generator. Meteksan Defence will display the NAZAR at the International Defence Industry Fair 2021 in Turkey, Defence Blog reported Tuesday.
